Hugging Architecture is a collaborative project activating radical care and affection for the built environment through spatial and performative interventions. The project is situated in Amare, a new cultural center in The Hague (NL).
FEMINIST SPATIAL PRACTICES
Feminist Spatial Practices is a dynamic community program promoting feminist practices in art, design, architecture, and activism. This virtual and in-person program celebrates the diversity of ways that feminism is practiced by pointing to the range of intersectional, multi-scale, and relational practices that expand ways of thinking and making in the built environment.
SPACIOUS CRAFTING
A collection of projects, events and publications highlighting Spacious’ values of situated craftsmanship. This approach is inspired by our experience with Asian architecture and further developed through a sustained experimentation at the crossroad between architecture, art and philosophy.
SPACIOUS CO-CREATION
A collection of projects and events highlighting Spacious’ approach to co-creation through collective, spatial and performative experimentation. This approach is inspired by our experience with participatory urban design projects in the Netherlands, as well as our cross-cultural and transdisciplinary collaborations in academia, art and design.
